Work in Ireland

The Work in Ireland programme allows young people the opportunity to work anywhere in Ireland for up to 12 months at any time of the year. You can work in any field, full-time paid employment, as many jobs as you like. New Zealanders can work for one employer for the full year and Australians for up to 6 months. This international experience not only looks fantastic on your CV, makes you look more attractive to potential employers and the envy of your friends but it will also give you the cultural experience of a lifetime!

The Work & Travel Ireland team is on the ground to assist you in finding jobs, housing and socialising while on your working holiday. So whether you choose to stay in Dublin, head to the rural west of Ireland, or merely use it as a point to see more of Europe while earning your keep, then this is the programme for you.

Where can I work?

work-in-ireland-2You may choose to wait tables or stage plays, apply your marketing skills or business theory or simply spend a summer working in a country pub. Each of these experiences will enhance your resume in different ways but all will give you an international perspective, and you will be immersed in another lifestyle and culture. The most important thing to remember is that while you are on a working holiday visa, you can apply for a job in any profession, as serious you like, or as laid back as you might prefer! The rest is up to you!
